Venice Johnson of Ovid, while coasting on
snowshoes Wednesday afternoon, had the misfortune to fall, dislocating her
shoulder and breaking her arm.

Mrs. Asa Jensen, of Ovid died at 10:45 am Saturday in a local
hospital following a major operation and short illness. Mrs. Jensen, daughter of
the later Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Johnson, was born 9 March 1894 at Ovid where she
lived the forty-four years of her life.
Mrs. Jensen is survived by her husband and nine children; Clifford Jensen of Montpelier; Mrs. Pearl Hutton of Logan; LaGrande Jensen of Dingle; Mrs. Don (Gwen) Humburg of Montpelier; and Darwin, Marcia, Margie and Glenda Jensen of Ovid. She is also survived by six brothers and six sisters including Andrew Johnson of Emmett; Mrs. Sarah Poulsen of Paris; Hans Johnson, Basalt; James, Isaac, Lorenzo and Ezra Johnson of Ovid; Mrs. E G Edwards, Mrs. Will Jones and Mrs. Melvina Wilson of Montpelier; Mrs. Oliver Williams of Preston and Mrs. Wyler Bartschi of Nounan.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at eleven o'clock in Ovid, where the following rites were conducted: opening song by the choir, "Beautiful Land" opening prayer by Bishop E D Hymas; song "The Lords Prayer" Paris Second ward Singing Mothers; speaker Bishop Sam Hymas; duet "Sometime, Somewhere" by the Beck sister; male quarter "Come Unto Me" Michaelson brothers and James Olsen;
remarks Fred Price; vocal solo Mrs. Henry Parker; remarks President Robinson; song "Crossing the Bar" Singing Mothers; speaker Bishop Oliver Peterson; closing song by choir "Sometime We'll Understand" benediction by F M Beck.
The grave was dedicated by Oliver Williams and interment made in the Ovid Cemetery.
