DARWIN J JENSEN
ALPINE, WYO-Darwin J Jensen, 55, died Thursday at his home following a heart attack. He was born June 9, 1921 at Ovid to Asa Ray and Venice Rebekah Johnson Jensen. He attended Fielding Academy* in Paris and was a member of the LDS Church. He married Ethel Irene White Dec 24, 1948 at Ovid.
He worked for Union Pacific Railroad for 10 years and then went into business for himself buying and operating a service station in Montpelier six years. Following a severe heart attack in 1966 he retired and moved his family from Ovid to Montpelier. In April 1976 he and his wife moved to Alpine where they built a new home.
Survivors include his widow of Alpine; three sons Steven and Dennis, both of Montpelier and Kenneth of Salt Lake City; two daughters, Shirlene of Montpelier and Dorthy of Pocatello; five grandchildren and five sisters; Mrs. Don (Gwen) Humburg of Dingle; Mrs. Gerald (Marsha) Hidalgo of Raymond; Mrs. Charles (Marjie) Nicholls of Montpelier, and Mrs. John (Muriel) Akelis and Mrs. Sammy (Glenda) Ortolani both of Parma Ohio.
Funeral Services will be at 1 pm Saturday at the Liberty LDS ward chapel. Friends may call at the Liberty chapel Saturday from 11:30 am until time of services. Burial will be in the Ovid Cemetery.
