Jewell Coffee Shop

The two men who were surprised and captured by local officers in an attempted burglaryof the Jewell Coffee Shop about 4:30 am last Thursday, were identified as Jack Glen, 47, and Ernest R Collins, 36. Due to quick and courageous action of Officer Clarence Clelland, assisted by Cliff Jewell, Glen was apprended in a stolen car parked by the coffee shop during the attempted robbery.
Collins was taken later in the forenoon by Glen Kendle, Idaho state police, accompanied by Mr. Jewell, in the brush near the Old Oregon Trail east of Montpelier.
