LONG TIME RESIDENT OF PARIS DIES
 

Frank Bolton, 89, died at his residence in Paris at 5:20 am today (Thursday). The son of Henry and Mary Jane Smith Bolton, he was born December 11, 1867 in Williamsburg, New York. In 1870 the family moved to Paris where Mr. Bolton had since resided. Before his retirement he engaged in farming and in the early years before the construction of the Paris railroad branch, he had the mail contract between Montpelier and Paris.  He was an active member of the LDS Church.

Mr. Bolton married Zillah Ann Humpherys on September 14, 1892 and to this union five children were born, four of whom survive; Frank Leslie Bolton of Paris, Mrs. Orson (Alice) Rich, St Charles; Mrs. Milford (Iona) Roberts, Ogden; and Clarence Bolton of Conda. A daughter Loneta Ann died in infancy. Mrs. Bolton died December 31, 1899.

He married Alice Angelina Price June 1, 1904.  His second wife preceded him in death on February 28, 1950. Three children were born to this union of whom Ruby Elaine Bolton of Paris and Mrs. Athol (Hortense Mary) Stone of Sterling survive. A son, Robert died in infancy.  He is also survived by 30 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and four sisters, Mrs. Estella Owens of Fielding Utah; Mrs. Ella Jane Briggs of Twin Falls, Mrs. Beatrice Arnell of St Charles and Marguerite Bolton of Montpelier.

Funeral services are set for 12:30 pm Monday in the Paris Second Ward Chapel.  Matthews Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
