Beatty Clothing Company

Montpelier Examiner, Friday, 10 December 1920, page 29

Last April when Mr. J J Jones decided to retire from business, his interests were taken over by a wide awake and progressive merchant, J H Beatty. Mr. Beatty was not a stranger in Montpelier before going into business here. For seven months prior to taking over the Jones-Robinson Co, he had been associated with Nielson Furniture Co. and had been and instructor in the Montpelier high school.

Since first coming to Montpelier in February 1919, Mr. Beatty has aligned himself with the progressive element. He was a charter member of the Booster's Club and has served on a number of important committees in that organization. The Beatty Clothing Company in addition to operating the Montpelier store have a store in Soda Springs under the management of Mr. L Hall. In an interview with the Examiner, Mr. Beatty reaffirmed his implicit faith in the future of Bear Lake and especially Montpelier.
