RITES HELD FOR ELLIS STRAW
Funeral services for Alma Ellis Straw were held at 1 pm Friday in the Montpelier Second Ward Chapel with Bishop Leland J Muir conducting. Mrs. Van Ness Wallentine sang "In The Garden of Tomorrow" accompanied by Mrs. Lester Armatage and Mrs. H O Petereit. Following was the invocation by Bishop Alvin C Tueller; vocal solo "Dry Those Tears" Mrs. Wallentine; remarks Bishop Muir; speaker Bishop Byron E Mumford; vocal solo "In The Garden" Mrs. Reed Lowe; benediction Walter Rohner. The prelude and postlude were played by Mrs. Armatage. Prayer at the Mortuary was offered by Asa Athay.
Interment was in the Paris cemetery and the grave was dedicated by Bishop J Clarence Lindsay. Pall bearers were James Bruce, S N Kunz, Harold Wallentine, Keith W Rich, Lavere Ricks and George Simmons. The Matthews Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
