SERVICES TO BE HELD IN OVID CHAPEL
 

Mrs. Zelnora (Nellie) Van Noy Olsen, 79, died at her home in Salt Lake City Tuesday of a heart ailment.  She was born February 2, 1879 in Riverdale Idaho, to William Thomas and Agnes Birrell Von Noy.  She married Joseph Olsen on June 15, 1898 in the Logan Temple and he died on March 13, 1901.  On April 2, 1909 in the Salt Lake Temple, she married Orson Olsen, who died February 25, 1936.

In 1942 she moved from Ovid to Logan and in 1956 to Salt Lake City.  She was a member of the LDS Church and was active in the Primary, Relief Society, MIA and religion class organizations.  She was also an officiator in the Logan Temple and Logan Genealogical Library, captain of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers in Montpelier and Logan, president of American Legion Auxiliary in Montpelier, and was an ardent genealogist.

Her survivors include six son and daughters, William Carlyle Olsen, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Melvin (Burgetta) Christensen, Grace; Mrs. William (Jamie) Stalder, West Yellowstone, Montana; James Olsen, Nampa; Mrs. Glen (Emma) Eck, Soda Springs; Joseph Olsen, Ovid and two sisters, Evelyn R Parker and Agnes Nelson, both of Los Angeles; five half-brothers and sisters, Ray Van Noy and Katie Christensen of Salt Lake City; Nettie Hayes, Richmond, Utah; Loretta Shepherd, Cove Utah and Mary Bright in California, and 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Friday in the Ovid chapel.  Friends may call at the Matthews Mortuary Thursday and at the home of Joseph Olsen in Ovid Thursday evening and Friday prior to the services.
