Women's Council of
Defense

OVER A THOUSAND
The recent registration of women by the Women's Council of
Defense in Montpelier show that 1294 have registered, offering their services to
the government, either paid or volunteer, for either all or part time.
Forty-eight of these offered for trained services, to devote their entire time
to their professions, while 259 signed for training courses in four different
lines.
This is indeed an excellent showing and makes plain the fact that Bear Lake county women are more than willing to do al lthey can to back up the government and the "boys in khaki."
