DEATH IN RAYMOND
The angel of death entered the home of Andy Evans July 3 and
claimed the life of the wife and mother. Winifred Kimball Evans was born Sept
25, 1887 at Meadowville Utah. She took sick July 2 and gave birth to a pair of
twins where also died. All was done that could be done to save Mrs. Evans but
all in vain. She died on the morning of July 3.
As a church worker there was none better. On Dec 7, 1924, she became president of the Relief Society and performed her work as a president very faithfully. She was respected and loved by all and will not only be missed by her family and immediate relatives but by the entire community. She leaves to mourn her loss, a husband, three children; Lawrence age 9, Helen, age 6 and Henry age 3 years. Also a father, mother, four sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services were held Monday at 1 pm. The body was taken to Montpelier for burial.
