While working on a baler at Nounan last Wednesday, William Williams had his foot caught in the machinery and sustained terrible injuries. In order to extricate him, it was necessaary for the workmen to pry the plunger back with a pole. The victim suffered great agony, until the arrival of Dr. Asbley and Dr. Wallentine, who made a record run to the scene in Stewart's ambulance.
Williams' leg was broken near the knee and his foot was horribly mangled. The doctor attended his injuries and is endeavoring to save the foot, but fears amputation may yet become necessary.
