FORMER RESIDENT OF GEORGETOWN AND MONTPELIER DIES
 

Wilford W Clark Sr. 93, retired Utah and Idaho stock raiser, farmer and legislator, died Monday at 2:30 am in a Salt Lake City hospital of causes incident to age.  Mr. Clark was born February 2, 1863 in Farmington Utah, the son of Ezra T and Mary Stevenson Clark.  He married Pamelia Dunn in the Logan Temple on July 22, 1885. She died October 12, 1933 and he was married to Pernecy Bagley November 15, 1934 in the Logan Temple.  She died on April 12, 1943.

Mr. Clark had been a temple worker in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served the church during his entire lifetime.  He was at one time bishop of the Montpelier First Ward and served twice on two year missions and five six month missions for the Church.  Mr. Clark was a state legislator in both the Idaho Senate and House at different times.

Surviving are eight sons and one daughter, W Woodruff Clark and Mrs. Leland G (Leora) Larsen, Salt Lake City; William O Clark, Provo Utah; Dr. Russell B Clark Artesia California; Elmer B Clark Oakland California; Home K Clark Ogden; Howard N Clark Idaho Falls; LeGrand Clark Georgetown and Royal D Clark Montpelier; Mrs. Olean (Clara Simpson) Mouritsen, who made her home with the Clark family from childhood  until she married; 38 grandchildren and 50 great grandchildren.  Also two brothers, Joseph S Clark Salt Lake City (102 years old and believed to be Utah’s oldest man) and Amasa L Clark Farmington Utah.  He was preceded in death by a son Ernest and a daughter, Mrs. Walter (Vera) Sullivan.

Funeral services were held in Georgetown today (Thursday) at one o’clock and burial was in the Montpelier cemetery.
