Horace Weaver Fire
The Montpelier Examiner, July 28, 1938
Fire of an unknown origin broke out Saturday about 3 pm on the old Horace Weaver home, now occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Weaver at Bennington, burned part of two haystacks, destroyed a garage, chicken coop, wagon shed, top of the cellar, header, drill, power shearing machine and one bull calf.
The house and its furnishings which the fire
fighters had removed and sat out front of the home were untouched.
