The Washington school, finished the first month's work last
Friday, with the following enrollment in each of the departments:
First Primary: Miss Lau, teacher, 54
Second and third grade; Miss Pearce, teacher, 44
Fourth and fifth grade; Miss Barrett, teacher 37
Grammar grades: Miss Hughes, 50
Owing to the fall work being still unfinished the enrollment is not complete, there being about twenty more to enter the upper grades. The new books have arrived and the school is now in good shape and the progress looks very promising.
