SERVICES ARE HELD IN GEORGETOWN
 

Walter Henry Tippets, 72, died Saturday at his home in Georgetown following an illness of several months.  The son of Walter Henry and Maria Ann Tippets, he was born June 12, 1886 at Perry, Box Elder county, Utah.  He accompanied his family to by team and wagon on a trip requiring two weeks.  He was a member of the LDS Church.  He married Myrtle Larson, February 6, 1911 and the marriage was solemnized a year later in the LDS Temple, Salt Lake City.

Surviving are his widow; two sons Ellis Tippets of Idaho Falls and Verl Tippets of Nounan; three daughters, Mrs. Harold (Elizabeth) Newman of Adrian, Oregon, Ms. Max L (Utahna) Bunn of Montpelier and Mrs. LaVern (Helen) Allen of Idaho Falls; one sister Mrs. Lester (Persis) Burbank of St Anthony; 18 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  One son preceded him in death.

Services were held at 1 pm Wednesday in the Georgetown LDS Ward Chapel.  The opening song "I Know That My Redeemer Lives: was by the choir; invocation Rao B Dunford; obituary Lloyd M Smith; speaker Melvin J Clark; vocal duet "One Fleeting Hour" Virtue Wallentine and Helen Crossley; speaker Roy H Robinson; song "Sometime We'll Understand" choir; benediction Walter E Clark. The prayer at home was by Earl Tippets.

Interment was in Georgetown cemetery. The grave was dedicated by Abraham Thompson.  Pall bearers were Richard Newman, Terry Bunn, Vernon Tippets, Cecil Burbank and E Gipeison.  The Matthews Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
