Walter Hasler
Montpelier Examiner, Wednesday, 8 September 1897, page 1
Walter Hasler arrived in town Thursday from Mt. Pleasant Utah. He had been engaged as principal for the uptown school this winter. Mrs. Jones will be his assistant. The new principal comes well recommended and with his able assistant the uptown people are assured of a first class school. It began Monday.
The lower town school opened Monday with M F Whitman as principal ad Miss Majors as assistant. Marks term last year stamped him as an able school teacher and Miss Majors has a good recommend. Montpelier will have two good schools in its midst this term and we urge all parents to help the teachers by enjoining punctual attendance on the part of their children.
