Walter Findlay, pioneer resident of Paris died Sunday in the Caribou hospital at Soda Spring. He had recently undergone an operation. Mr. Findlay was 69 years of age and born in Salt Lake City on August 29, 1869. For a number of years previous to his death he was proprietor of the Findlay garage in Paris.

Mr. Findlay is survived by his widow, two sons and one daughter; Leroy Findlay and Mrs. Walter Poulsen of Conda and Milton Findlay of Ogden. Funeral services were held Wednesday in the LDS Second ward chapel in Paris at 1 pm under the direction of the F M Williams Mortuary.

The opening song was "Oh My Father" by a mixed quartet; the opening prayer was offered by W Smith Hoge; the mixed quartet then sang "Though Deepening Trials" Arthur Pendrey and Bishop Ernest D Hymas then spoke, followed by a duet, "Whispering Hope" by Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Spencer; remarks by Dr. C O Moore and Bishop Sam Hymas. A male quartet sang, "Going Home"; closing remarks by Bishop Orson Grimmet, closing song, "Shall We Meet Beyond the River" mixed quartet; benediction by James L Dunford.

Interment was made in the Paris cemetery and the grave dedicated by Bishop Samuel Humphreys of Shelley.
