DEATH
Wallace Shupe passed peacefully at the home of his mother in this
city last Wednesday morning at a few minutes past 11 am. While he had been in
poor health for the past two months, his condition did not become serious until
two weeks ago when he was taken to his bed, and continued to decline rapidly
until the end came. Wallace was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Shupe. He was
born in this city May 29, 1892 and had always made his home here.
After completing the eight grade in school, he took up electrical work with the old Bear Lake Power company. He also studied text books on electricity and in time he gained a fair knowledge of the business. He remained for some time with the Utah Power & Light company, after it took over the business of the old Bear Lake company. Sometime over a year ago he leased the Rex theatre, which he conducted until he and E A Brough went in partnership about six months ago, since which both theatres have been under their management.
Besides other relatives, he is survived by his parents, three brothers and two sisters. The funeral services will be held at the Second ward meeting house this afternoon at 1:30 pm.
