Vir-Day Motel

The News Examiner, 7 September 1967

Accommodations at the Vir-Day Motel were doubled with recent opening of a 12 unit addition located south and east of the first wing at 240 North 4th St.  Ivan O Phelps designed the two story structure of masonry walls of offset corner block.  Dayle Brown, who with Mrs. Brown, operate the motel, constructed the attractive addition.

Six units, two single and four double, are on the ground level with entrances from either from or back. The top floor has three single and three double units.

A suspended stairway with metal rail and heavy wooden treads on the east side of the building, leads to the second story. Each second story unit has its own deck.
