LIFE LONG RESIDENT DIES OF CANCER
Vincent B Adams, 51, died of cancer at 2:30 am Tuesday in the Bear Lake Memorial Hospital. he was a life long resident of Montpelier having been born here June 26, 1905, the son of William and Katherine Jarboe Adams. Mr. Adams was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad from April 1, 1924 in the maintenance of way department until July 6, 1956 when illness forced him to retire. He had over 30 years seniority on Montpelier Section No 230. He was a former member of LOOM No 858.
He married Edith S Hayes December 31, 1928 at Soda Springs. Besides his widow survivors are eight children; Mrs. Willard (Ruth) Thornock of Bloomington, William A Adams, of Salt Lake City, Mrs. George (Thelma) Kinyon of Lewiston, Idaho; Mrs. Harvey (Cecelia) Gittens of Great Falls Montana, Mrs. Dennis (Nancy) Wilkes of Salt Lake City and Vincent R (Jack) Doris and Alpha Adams, all of Montpelier; one brother Oliver Adams of Sacramento, California; two sisters Mrs. E D Gardner and Mrs. Florence Cavanaugh, both of Los Angeles; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 11 am Saturday in
the Second Ward LDS Chapel.
