Mrs. Joseph Rasmussen died at her home in Georgetown last
Saturday morning. On April 9th she was taken down with pneumonia and on the 15th
she gave birth to a son. She made a heroic struggle for life, but the stress of
childbirth in connection with pneumonia was too much for her to overcome.
Deceased was the daughter of Bishop and Mrs. Alma Hayes and was only a few months past 18 years of age. On the 11th of last June she was united in marriage to Mr. Rasmussen. Besides her grief stricken husband, she is survived by her parents, three brothers and three sisters, all of whom resided in Georgetown.
Her funeral services were held in the meeting house last Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock and were attended by friends and family and neighbors. One brother, Thomas was unable to attend the funeral on account of illness and his condition was reported to be rather serious.
