The new deluxe Safeway store located on Washington street, was opened Tuesday morning at 8 am for the inspection and service of customers.

The new building, built by Stanley Rich and leased for a lengthy period of time to Safeway Stores, was designed and supervised by J F Novachek, architectural engineer, and O H Grimmett local contractor.
