FORMER STAKE PRESIDENT DIES
Silas L Wright, 75, retired Bennington farmer and widely known church, political and civic leader, died at 3:45 am today (Thursday) following an illness of two years. Services will be held at 1 pm Saturday in the Montpelier LDS stake tabernacle, with interment in the Bennington cemetery.
Mr. Wright served 20 years as second counselor to President Ed C Rich in the Montpelier stake presidency. and was president for nine years. His varied activities also included four terms as representative to the Idaho state legislature and he was also a county commissioner.
Surviving in his immediate family are his
widow, son, Dean Wright of Salt Lake City and a granddaughter.
