FUNERAL SERVICES HELD ON MONDAY
Sarah Elizabeth Kunz, 68, wife of Carl Jacob Kunz, died March 26 in the Bear Lake Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Kunz had been in ill health for several years. She was born June 4, 1890 at St Charles, the daughter of Nels and Clara Peterson Bergreen. Mrs. Kunz was a member of the LDS Church. She and Mrs. Kunz were married March 28, 1921 in Kemmerer, Wyoming and since that date had resided in Montpelier. Surviving are her husband and two children, Mrs. Iona Walker of Montpelier and Elwood C Kunz of Evanston; four brothers Wilford Bergreen of Altadena California, Orson Bergreen of Montpelier and Oscar and Joseph Bergreen both of Salt Lake City.
Funeral services were held Monday at 1pm in the Third-Fifth ward chapel with Bishop Roscoe E Evans of the Fifth ward conducting. Lillas Swensen placed the prelude and postlude and the opening prayer was by Vern A Wilcox. A ladies trio Mrs. Reed Lowe, Mrs. Dean Larsen and Mrs. Eugene Wilcox sang :My God & I” accompanied by Miss Swensen; Hugh Phelps was a speaker and also gave the obituary; speaker Eldon W Cook; the closing song “Whispering Hope” was by Max Haddock and Mrs. Lowe, accompanied by Miss Swensen. Celdon R Hart offered the closing prayer.
Prayer at the mortuary was offered by Elmer S Burgoyne. Mr. Phelps gave the dedicatory prayer at the graveside. The Matthews Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
