DEATH OF A PARIS MAN
Samuel Wilford Lewis died Monday in a Blackfoot hospital after a long illness. He was born in Paris on October 7, 1886, the son of Joseph and Elizabeth King Lewis and spent his entire life there. On November 29, 1920 he was married to Olive Passey at Paris. One daughter Pearl Della Bentsen preceded him in death June 1, 1944.
Surviving are his widow and the following sons and daughters, Eva Elizabeth Birch of Cokeville, Lola Dean Hill and Nelda Joanne Ryan of Los Angeles; Olive LaRae Peterson of Grace; Russell Lewis and Joseph Lewis of Paris; the following stepchildren, Newell Lewis of Paris, Mrs. G H (Merinda) Bentsen of Montpelier and Marvin Larsen of Los Angeles; brothers Walter Lewis of Paris and Fred Lewis of Montpelier.
Funeral services were held Thursday at 1 pm in
the Paris Second ward chapel.
