NATIVE OF LANARK DIES IN BUTTE
 

Rulon E Beck, 61, died early Monday morning in a Butte Montana hospital. Born April 6, 1897 in Lanark, he was the son of Joseph P and Matilda Bunn Beck.  Deceased was married in 1924 to Elma Norstrum of Soda Springs.  A veteran of World War I he was a member of the American Legion. He worked for Anaconda Cooper Mining Company at Conda in 1922 and moved away. Returning in 1931 he lived at Conda where he was mine foreman until two years ago when he transferred to Butter.

Surviving are his widow of Butte; three sons, Don and Jay Beck of Soda Springs and Robert Beck of Butte; three daughters Mrs. Valene Harker of Ogden, Mrs. Dwana Clayton of Moreland and Joan Beck of Butter; his step mother Mrs. Marie Beck of Ovid, five brothers and four sisters.

Services were held in the LDS Chapel in Soda Springs today (Thursday) at one o'clock with Bishop Harry Sorenson of the First ward officiating. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery Soda Springs.
