RITES HELD FOR ROY J BIRD
Funeral services for Roy J Bird were held at 1 pm March 20 in the Dingle Ward Chapel with Bishop Clifford Skinner conducting. The opening song "Come Disconsolate" was by the Dingle Ward Quartet; invocation Bishop Homer Mouritsen; remarks, Bishop Skinner; speaker Bishop Dean Hansen; vocal duet, "That Silver Haired Daddy of Mine" Mr. and Mrs. Whitney Transtrum; speaker J Clarence Lindsay; vocal duet "In The Garden" Winslow Swensen and Mrs. Walter Hunzeker, accompanied by Lillas Swensen; speaker Warren J Sirrine; song "Jesus Lover of My Soul" choir; benediction, William H Lindsay. The prelude and postlude were played by Mrs. Alfred Oakey. The prayer at home was offered by Ted Hansen.
Interment was in the Dingle cemetery and the grave was dedicated by Calvert Lewis. The Matthews Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
