PVT. RICHARD NORTON KILLED IN FRANCE

 

Pfc. Richard K Norton, 20, was killed in action somewhere in France on July 24th, according to information received recently by his father, Earl Norton from the war department.  Private Norton was born in Ogden March 26, 1924.  He lived there most of his life, coming to Montpelier during recent summers to assist his father in the bottling works.

Pvt. Norton of the Infantry entered the service July 23, 1943 and went overseas the latter part of June 1944.  He landed in Frances on July 18th.  Surviving are his parents, two sisters and a brother.
