Ferguson & Johnson Rabbit Hunt

The Montpelier Examiner, January 13, 1911

Georgetownites to the numbers of 28 indulged in a rabbit hunt yesterday.  The men divided into squads 14 each with John Ferguson and Jas Johnson as captains, with the agreement that the squad killing the least number of rabbits should give a dance.

When the hunters returned in the evening it was found that Capt. Ferguson squad was the easy winner having killed 41 rabbits while the other fellows brought in only 14.

According to the agreement the losers are preparing to give a dance at Larsen & Hoff's hall tonight and a big time is anticipated.  The hunt afforded lots of amusement for all who participated.
