FUNERAL SERVICES HELD IN PARIS
 

Funeral services for Psyche Spencer, 67, wife of Herbert L Spencer, were held at 11 am Monday in the Paris Second LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop A W Shepherd conducting.  Mrs. Spencer died at her home in Salt Lake City  Friday morning. 

The opening song "Oh My Father" was by a quartet comprised of Hattie Wallentine, Velma Hansen, Ned Budge and Max Eborn; invocation Walter Bird; remarks Bishop Shepherd; speaker Mrs. Asa Athay; vocal duet, "Hold Thou My Hand" Mrs. Reed Lowe and Max Haddock; speaker Seth Budge; vocal duet "Beautiful Sunset" Leanora Stucki and John Spencer; speaker Amos B Hulme; song "I Need Thee Every Hour" quartet; benediction Edwin T Shepherd.  The prayer at the home was offered by Edwin Spencer; Ruby Bolton played the prelude and postlude.

Interment was in the Paris cemetery and the grave was dedicated by Cyril Budge.  Pall bearers were Joseph H Spencer, Seymour H Spencer, Edwin Spencer, Charles Goebel, Clem Humpherys and John Fox.

Mr. and Mrs. Spencer moved to Salt Lake City shortly after Mr. Spencer's retirement as Paris postmaster in 1951.  Mrs. Spencer was born September 15, 1887 in Stryen, Holland, daughter of Adrian den Engelse.  She married Mr. Spencer January 9, 1913.  She was a member of the LDS Church.

Besides her husband she is survived by three sons and three daughters, Aletta S Jacobs and Ruth Spencer of Salt Lake City; Irene Wyler, Paris; Earl Spencer, Vista, California; Larry H Spencer Portland Oregon; and Orson Spencer, Bloomington.  Also surviving are eight grandchildren; one brother and two sisters in Holland.
