Building Telephone Line Supervisor Shell of
Caribou Forest Reserve is here this week looking after business in connection
with the reserve. Mr. Shell informed an Examiner representative that the
Forest Service is now constructing a telephone line from Montpelier to Gray's
Lake, a distance of about five miles. Two crews of about 10 men each are
at work on the line and they hope to have it completed to the Blackfoot Stock
Company's ranch before winter sets in. Next season the line will be extended
from the aforesaid ranch up Lane's Creek to Wayan and out to Lyon, on the South
Fork of the Snake River, a total distance of 100 miles from here. Phones
will be installed at each forest ranger's station along the line, which will
also be connected with central office in Montpelier.

full length.

Ovid; S Tunks, who had a hard tussle with
typhoid fever, has recovered and returned to work at the sugar factory.

Fish Haven: Norman, the little son of Sam
Winterbottom, had a very severe attack of croup last Sunday night and for some
time his recovery was very doubtful, but he is now improving.

Two of Carl Timerick's children are down with
typhoid fever.

Cokeville: The new bank of Cokeville opened its
doors for business last Monday morning.

St Charles: John Mattson was over from St Charles last Monday. He reported that his son, Leo, who had a long siege with typhoid fever, was not able to be about the house and is rapidly regaining strength.
