Peter Hansen, 87 years of age, died Thursday, August 4, at his home in Montpelier following a long illness. Deceased was born in Denmark, January 6, 1851. He is survived by his widow, Christina Sorenson Hansen, a daughter and three sons as follows; Mrs. Roy Bird and Martin Hansen of Dingle; Horton Hansen of Ogden and Albert P Hansen of Montpelier.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday in the Fourth Ward LDS Chapel with Bishop J J Sarbach presiding. Opening selection "I Need Thee Every Hour" by Singing Mothers under direction of Mrs. Angie C Arnold; invocation, William E Nield; selection "Nearer Dear Savior To Thee" Singing Mothers; remarks, Bishop Sarbach; vocal duet "That Silver Haired Daddy of Mine" A G Berrey and Jesse Dunn; remarks, Hyrum Oakey; selection "Beyond Today" Singing Mothers; remarks President H H Hoff; vocal duet "Not Dead But Sleeping' Angie C Arnold, Martha Bucher; benediction, Simon Einzinger.

Six grandsons acted as pall bearers, Elwood Hansen, Dean Hansen, Glen Hansen, Clifford Hansen, William Bird, Vernon Hansen. The grave was dedicated by Bishop S G Humphreys of Dingle.
