FINAL RITES
Pearl Jensen Griffin, 31, died in Montpelier on April 8th. The
daughter of the late Asa and Venice Johnson Jensen, she was born in Ovid, March
31, 1917. She attended school at Ovid and Fielding High school in Paris. In
recent years she had resided at Logan, but for the past six months had been in
Montpelier. She was a member of the LDS church.
Surviving are three children, Keith, Karen and Kaleen Griffin all of Logan; three brothers, Clifford and LaGrand Jensen, both of Montpelier and Darwin Jensen of Ovid; and five sisters, Mrs. Don Humburg, Dingle, Mrs. Gerald Hidalgo, Border, Mrs. Darold Wood, Garland Utah, and Muriel Jensen and Mrs. Samuel Ortalani, both of Cleveland Ohio.
Services were held at 1 pm Tuesday in the Matthews Chapel with Bishop James Olsen of Ovid conducting. the invocation was by Wyler Bartschi; vocal duet, Bishop and Mrs. Olsen; speaker, Bishop Oliver L Peterson; vocal solo, Nile Matthews, benediction, Russell Matthews. Interment was in the Ovid cemetery and the grave was dedicated by Bishop Olsen.
