Word was received here Tuesday of the death of Oren L Jensen, which occurred Monday in the Veterans Hospital in Sawtelle California.

Mr. Jensen, who was an ex-serviceman had been ill for the past several years. He was born in Raymond 23 May 1889, the son of the late Christian Jensen and Stena Rasmussen, who survives him. Other survivors are his wife and five children; Winslow, Grant, Winifred, Jack and Beverly Jensen; one sister Luella Jensen, and three brothers, James, Leo and Earl Jensen, all of Montpelier; also two grandchildren.

The remains will be brought to Montpelier, Friday morning by Mrs. Jensen and children, who were in Sawtelle at the time of Mr. Jensen's death.

Funeral services for Oren L Jensen were held in the Montpelier stake tabernacle Sunday at 2 o'clock. The program was as follows: "Oh My Father" by the choir; invocation Bishop Hymas; solo "That Silver Haired Daddy of Mine" Frank Williams; speakers Presidents Ed C Rich and Silas L Wright; quartet "This is My Task" Delilah Loveday and company; final speaker James L Dunford; quartet "I Need Thee Every Hour" benediction by Bishop Louis Perkins.

Interment was in the Montpelier cemetery where the grave was dedicated by J Vern Dunn, commander of the American Legion. The Legion of which he was a member participated impressively in the service, acting as pall bearers, accompanying the train, delivering taps and an 18 gun salute at the grave side.

His survivors are his wife, formerly Elma Zumbrunnen, children, Winslow, Grant, Winifred, Jack and Beverly. He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. Stena Jensen, sister Luella and brothers, James, Leo and Earl Jensen.

The services were extremely impressive. The large number in attendance and the profuse display of varied and attractive flowers were evidence of high esteem. the speakers paid abundant and eloquent tribute to Mr. Jensen on account of achievements and his many noble traits.
