FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN SEATTLE
Oliver Williams, 73, former well known resident of Nounan and Montpelier, died of a heart ailment on November 8th at the residence of his son, Donald Williams in Seattle. Mr. Williams was born on December 28, 1883 in Paris to Noah Mormon and Harriet Williams. He married Hannah Johnson on September 23, 1902 in Logan. She died in 1955. The family moved from Montpelier to where Mr. Williams resided until 1956.
Survivors include on son, Donald and four daughters, Mrs. Wilda Hymas, Seattle; Mrs. Evangeline Hymas, Liberty; Mrs. Katherine Karren and Mrs. Evelyn Christiansen of Salt Lake City, one sister, Mrs. Cora Hodges of Santa Monica, California; 17 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Services were held at 1 pm Monday in the Montpelier First Ward Chapel with Bishop David Jensen conducting. The invocation was offered by J Clarence Lindsay followed by a vocal selection "In The Garden" Elda Carlson; speaker Bishop Dean Palmer of Preston First Ward; vocal duet "Beyond the Sunset" Winslow Swensen and Mrs. Walter A Hunzeker, accompanied by Lillas Swensen; violin solo "End of a Perfect Day" Elda Carlson; benediction Bishop Wyler Bartschi. Mrs. Lester Skinner was accompanist and played the prelude and postlude.
Interment was in the Montpelier cemetery and
the grave was dedicated by Bishop Lester Alleman. The Matthews Mortuary
was in charge of arrangements.
