DIES FOLLOWING LONG ILLNESS
Mrs. Nettie Frances Twiss, 69, wife of Roy Harold Twiss, died Wednesday in Montpelier following an extended illness. She was born December 23, 1888 at Raymond, eldest child of James and Rebecca Catherine Price Francis. She married Mr. Twiss December 22, 1913 in Pocatello, and the ceremony was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on August 23, 1957.
Mrs. Twiss taught school for a period of 10 years at Georgetown, Geneva, Dingle, Border and Treasureton. A member of the LDS Church, she was active in Junior Sunday School and Relief Society for several years at Pegram until poor health forced her to move to Montpelier. Besides her husband she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Virginia) Erhart of Montpelier; two sons Paul Twiss of Montpelier and Opel Twiss of Soda Springs; one half-sister Mrs. William (Anna) Zumhoff of Dubuque Iowa; three full sisters Mrs. J D (Mary Jane) McCumber of Woodenville Washington, Mrs. George (Sadie Bell) Schaeffer of Summitt California, and Mrs. Fred (Alice Delilah) Hoffman of Arcata California; four brothers Raymond James, Richard William, Sanford Cleon and Keaton Delmore Francis, all of Border and 12 grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 pm Saturday in the Montpelier LDS Second Ward chapel
with interment in the Montpelier cemetery. The Matthews Mortuary is in charge
of arrangements.
