A dinner party was held Sunday afternoon in St Charles in honor of Mrs. Wilhelmina Nelson, who was 84 years old, the oldest resident in St Charles. Mrs. Nelson was born in Sweden, January 9, 1854 and while but a young girl joined the LDS church and came to America.
She is the mother of seven children, five dead and two living, Hannah and Agnes Nelson of St Charles. She has eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. "Grandmother Nelson" received many nice gifts and messages from those present and also from descendants unable to be there.
Those present at the dinner were Mrs. Nelson, Hannah and Agnes Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Clark and family, Mrs. Patience Jeppesen and children, Lawrence and Donald Stewart of St Charles, Andrew Mattson, Mr. and Mrs. Ola Mattson, Mr. and Mrs. Carl J Johnson of Laketown, Utah.
