CALLED HOME
Nellie departed Sept 1st after an illness of not more than four
days. Abscess or anemia of the brain which developed shortly after confinement
is reported as being the cause of death. Nellie was the youngest child of
Erastus Peterson, now residents of Nounan and who were in attendance during
their daughters illness and demise. The deceased was born in Ovid twenty-two
years ago on the 4th of next October. She was a great favorite among the young
folks and before her marriage five years ago last April was one of the leading
members of the Ovid choir; was of a cheerful, gentle and obliging disposition
and her demise is the source of universal sorrow and regret.
Besides being one of our best organists she possessed a fair education and a bright intellect, and it is with feelings of deepest sadness we are called upon to record her loss. She was buried Monday 4th inst. A large concourse of friends and relatives taking part in the last rites and ceremonies at her grave.
