TRIBUTE
Resolved that we, the students and teachers of the Montpelier
high school and eighth grade, do extend our heartfelt sympathy to the family of
our beloved school mate and pupil, Myrtle Lauridsen. As a class mate we shall
miss her friendship, her sweet sympathy and kind helpfulness.
As a pupil, she has shown to each member of the faculty a sweet responsiveness that has endeared her to all. Her quick comprehension and keen appreciation of any help, however, trivial, caused her teachers in all grades to consider her not only an exceptional student but a true friend.
Her last words expressed a desire that she might "pass." So well she lived that the allotted time was not necessary for the completion of her work; so faithfully was she prepared that we know that her last promotion came with "Honor."
