RITES ARE HELD FOR GEORGETOWN MAN
 

Millard Rodeback, 55, of Georgetown died last Friday night. Born September 26, 1903 in Georgetown, he was the son of the late Charles Albert and Tibatha Latham Rodeback.  He was reared at Georgetown where he attended elementary and high school.  In 1921 he began working as a welder for the Union Pacific railroad, where he worked for nine years.

On July 24, 1923 he was married to Denina Lindsay Hayes at Kemmerer, Wyoming and the ceremony was later solemnized in the LDS Temple Salt Lake City. Mr. Rodeback worked as a farmer at Nounan and Georgetown and as a section hand on the railroad prior to 1945, when he purchased the Texaco Service Station at Georgetown.  The business was enlarged several years ago and in the spring of 1957 he and Mrs. Rodeback opened the M and N Cafe, in conjunction with their other business.

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Mr. Rodeback served as assistant superintendent of the Georgetown MIA. He was active in dramatics in that organization and served for nine years as supervisor of the ordained priests.  He was also a member of the Montpelier Moose Lodge.

Survivors include his widow, two daughters Mrs. Calixto (Glennyce) Canchola who is in Germany, and Mrs. Harrell (Melba) Thorne of Shoshone; two sons E M Hayes of Bountiful Utah and W L Hayes of Georgetown; four grandsons and four granddaughters; also two brothers and three sisters, Charles A Rodeback of Chicago and Ray W McCammon of Georgetown, Mrs. W E (Edna May) Price of Nampa, Mrs. Elwood (Winnie) Payne, Pocatello, and Mrs. Clinton (Clara) Hayes, Georgetown as well as several aunts and uncles.

Funeral rites for Mr. Rodeback were held on Wednesday at 1 pm in the Georgetown ward chapel.  Prayer at the home was by Ray McCammon.  The choir gave the opening song "Rock of Ages" and the invocation was by Max Bartschi.  Remarks by Bishop Donald S Rex followed and speakers were Walter E Clark and Roy H Robison.  A son "Beyond the Sunset" was by a trio comprised of Madge Sorenson, Jean Johnson and Marian Foss; speakers Lewis E Munk and Edwin E Pickney; "In The Garden" trio; Benediction Melvin J Clark.

Pall bearers were Roy Young, Elden Hoskins, Lewis Robison, J C Wallentine, Ernest Foss and Leon Sorenson.  Honorary pallbearers were members of LOOM No 858 which group conducted graveside services. LeGrand Bartschi dedicated the grave and the Georgetown Relief Society was in charge of the flowers.  In charge of arrangements was Matthews Mortuary.
