SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. OLIVE RICH
Mrs. Mary Olive King Rich, 78, died at 6 pm September 20, in the Bear Lake Memorial Hospital of injuries received when hit by an automobile the previous evening while walking along the highway in Liberty. The daughter of David and Susannah Clark King, she was born April 10,1878 in Liberty. Mrs. Rich who resided in Liberty during most of her life, was active in LDS church organizations. She married Morgan J Rich, August 3, 1921 in the LDS Temple at Logan.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters. Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Emily Orr who resides in Canada. Services for Mrs. Rich were held in the Liberty Sharon ward chapel with Bishop Marvin Hymas in charge. The organ prelude was by Idell Matthews; song "Oh My Father" Liberty quartet, Bishop Hymas, Evan Morgan, Norman Roberts and Stanley Morgan; prayer H K Matthews; vocal solo "In The Garden" Lola Wright, accompanied by Mrs. Lester Armatage; remarks Bishop Hymas; speaker Amy Shurtliff; duet "I'll Go Where You Want Me to Go Dear Lord", Ed Lyon and Lester Roberts, accompanied by Veda Roberts; speaker John S Morgan; speaker President W K Matthews; song "Let the Lower Lights Be Burning" quartet; prayer Asael Butler.
Interment was in the Liberty cemetery where the grave was dedicated by Harold Pugmire. The Matthews Mortuary was in charge of arrangements. Pall bearers were Harold Passey, Bruce Derricott, Rodney Long, Jay Johnson, Sharp Matthews and Glen Humpherys. Prayer at the mortuary was offered by Bruce Humpherys.
