Mary Frances Sleight Bunn, 84, lifelong resident of Bear Lake county, died at 4:30 pm Saturday in Paris. The daughter of Thomas and Mary Wixom Sleight, she was born April 4, 1870, in Paris, where she attended elementary and Fielding Academy.

Shortly after marrying John A Bunn in 1892, the couple moved to Lanark where they homesteaded a farm. After the death of her husband, January 11, 1938, Mrs. Bunn moved to Paris where she had since resided.  She was an active worker in the LDS Church organizations, serving as president of Ward Relief Society five years, and teacher in the MIA and Primary.  Seven children were born to the union, three of whom preceded her in death.

Surviving are Mrs. Henry (Naomi) Grandy, John V Bunn and Mrs. Smith (Leona) Gertsch, all of Paris, and Mrs. Edna Clark of Moreland.  She is also survived by a brother, Richard S Sleight of Georgetown and St George Utah; a sister Mrs. Viola Sleight of Paris; 16 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and one great great granchild.

Services were held at 1 pm Tuesday in the Paris First Ward Chapel with Bishop Morris B Athay conducting. The opening song, "O My Father" was by the Relief Society Singing Mothers; invocation Ralph Sleight; remarks Bishop Athay; tribute, Jean Siddoway; vocal solo; "Lay My Head Beneath A Rose" Arthur Eborn; speakers Bishop E D Hymas and Bishop Clarence M Rich; vocal solo, "Face to Face" Bernard Wilkes; speaker Loyd Sleight; vocal duet, "Beyond The Sunset" Bishop James Olsen and Leanora Stucki; reading Beth Gertsch; benediction, Bishop Archie Parker. Prayer at the home was given by Richard S Sleight.

Interment was in the Paris cemetery and the grave was dedicated by Wayne Grimmett.  The Matthews Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
