ANOTHER PIONEER
At midnight last Sunday another old pioneer passed to the great
beyond; Mrs. Martine K Sorenson of Ovid, who has been suffering from dropsy for
the past two years. Mrs. Sorenson was born in Denmark the 10th day of 1830; came
to America in 1869 and located in Ogden valley with her husband, Lars P Sorenson
who died some 24 years ago. Two years later they settled in Ovid and have
remained there ever since.
The funeral service was held in Ovid at 1 pm Wednesday where many friends gathered to do honor to their departed friend and neighbor.
