Marian Follick

Mrs. Marian Bridges Follick, 92, died at her home in Montpelier Sunday. Her death was caused from complications incident to age. Mrs. Follick was born in Salt Lake City 31 May 1861, the daughter of Charles Henry and Frances Pearson Bridges. She was married to David Follick 21 Sep 1882 at the Endowment House in Salt Lake City.  Mrs. Follick, a member of the Third Ward LDS Church, was loved by all who knew her cheerful and sunny disposition.  She served as Relief Society president and also as visiting teacher for many years.

She was the mother of eleven children, seven of whom are living; Romaine Follick of Ogden, Mrs. Arthur (Irene) Partridge, Tooele, Utah; Loraine Follick, Mrs. J A (Minnie) Green and Sidney B Follick of Pocatello; Mrs. Mabel Wells and Reuel Follick of Montpelier; also one brother, Thomas P Bridges and one sisters, Mrs. David A (Grace) Lewis both of Montpelier.

Services were held at 1 pm Wednesday in the Montpelier LDS Third Ward chapel with Counselor Earl Stephens conducting. The opening song, "Sister Thou Was't Mild and Lovely" was by a quartet comprised of Phil Hulme, Max Haddock, Eugene J Grimes and Roger Burgoyne, invocation President Elmer S Burgoyne; vocal solo "My Loved One Rest" Ed Grosjean; remarks Elgin Bridges; vocal duet, "In The Garden" Mr. and Mrs. Roger Burgoyne; speaker President Walter A Hunzeker; benediction Bishop James A Crane.  The prayer at the mortuary was given by David A Lewis.

Interment was in the Montpelier cemetery and the grave was dedicated by Bishop John H Teuscher.  The Matthews Mortuary was i charge of arrangements.
