Margie Jensen Nicholls 89, was called back to
her Heavenly Father Sept. 3, 2014 at the Portneuf Medical Center (Pocatello
Idaho) where family was by her side. She was born on May 13, 1925 in Ovid Idaho,
to Asa Ray Jensen and Venice Rebecca Johnson and was eight of 10 children.
She attended school in Ovid, Dingle, Montpelier, Paris and North Rich. Her home
was where her sisters lived.
She worked at the Tri State Store and Stauffer Chemical Company. She married
Darold H Wood in Utah in 1942 and had four children: Bruce, Sheila, Chad and
Gaylen Wood. They were later divorced. She moved back to Bear Lake where she
married Charles C. Nicholls in 1961 in the LDS Temple for time and all eternity.
Three more children were brought into this marriage: Mary Ann, Wendy and Fay
Nicholls. Margie and Charles were married 52 years when Charles passed away.
Margie was an active member in the LDS Church. She loved the gospel and the
callings she had were done whole heartedly. Attending the Temple was a favorite
thing for her to do. She loved her children and her grandchildren and enjoyed
being with them! She also enjoyed her DUP meetings; she was a member for 50
years.
Margie was preceded in death by her husband Charles Nicholls, son Bruce Wood,
daughter-in-law Lasca Wood, her parents, and many brothers and sisters. She is
survived by her three children Sheila (Herb) Cleary of Montpelier, Chad (Jody)
Wood of Georgetown and Gaylen of Orem, Utah, many grandchildren and her sister
Marcia Hidalgo.
Funeral Services were held at the 3rd ward church, Monday Sept. 8, 2014,
followed by the burial in the Ovid Cemetery.
