Mrs. Margaret Williams Caldwell, 69, widow of Robert William Caldwell, died Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R V Sutton, in Salt Lake City. Her husband died six weeks ago. Mrs. Caldwell was born May 18, 1869 in Malad, the daughter of Samuel D and Elizabeth Williams. She married Robert Caldwell on January 1, 1889 in Malad, and moved to Paris in 1903, where she lived until recently.
She was active in the Paris First ward LDS Relief Society and Genealogical society. She had 15 sons and one daughter, and the following eight survive her; Thomas Caldwell of Paris, Mrs. J F Painter of Ogden, Mrs. Homer Mouritsen and Mrs. Carlyle Stephens of Montpelier, Lawrence Caldwell and Mrs. Sutton of Salt Lake City; LaGrand Caldwell of Pocatello; and Mrs. Warren Passey of Lanark.
The following brothers and sisters also survive; Mr. Mary Jenkins, Samuel Williams, Mrs. Elizabeth Mansfield, Mrs. Lily Thomas and Oliver Williams, all of Malad; John Williams of Roy, Utah, Ezra Williams of Blackfoot; Brigham Williams of Tremonton; Mrs. Edward Snyder of Pocatello; Mrs. Grant Huntsman of Farmington; 28 grandchildren and one great grandchild survive.
Funeral services were held in Paris Monday.
