Lucille Jensen

Lucille Parker Jensen, 90, died peacefully in her sleep in her daughter's home in Bountiful, Utah, Monday, June 29, 1998. She was born Sep 22, 1907 in Bennington to David J Parker & Ellen Perkins. She married Charles Telbert Jensen July 18, 1927 in Soda Springs. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple Oct 21, 1931.
Most of her adult life was spent in Ovid where she and her husband were engaged in farming and ranching. She was active in the LDS Church all her life serving as a teacher in Primary and Mutual. She was Relief Society work director for nine years and Relief Society President for two years. Lucille was well known for her beautiful handiwork and took many top prized at the county fair with that and also with her cooking.
She is survived by her daughter, LaRee Sparks of Bountiful; daughter in law, Verna Jensen of Montpelier, two sisters, Janette Olsen and Lorena Gold of St George; one sister in law Pat Parker of Pocatello; six grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was proceed in death by her husband, son son-in-law and brother.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 2, 1998 at noon in the Montpelier Sixth Ward Chapel under the direction of Matthews Mortuary. A viewing will be two hours prior to services.
