Levi met and married Harriet Maria Conley in 1874 in Utah.  She was born 21 Apr 1859 in Centerville Utah, the daughter of Solomon Nicholas Conley and Harriet Maria Stoddard.

Harriet and Levi came to Thomas Fork Valley in the spring of 1877 with two small sons, James and William Augustus.  She was the first white woman to spend the winter there.  She did the cooking for the men, and Albert Leslie Hart, was the first white child born in Thomas Fork Valley. At one time Harriet kept four Indian braves pacified for four hours with her home baked bread.
