DIES IN SALT LAKE
Leo Glenn Palmer, 48, died September 7 in the LDS Hospital, Salt Lake City following injuries sustained in an industrial accident several weeks ago at Leefe, Wyoming. He was born January 24, 1910 at Bloomington, the son of Journal and Amy Jarvis Palmer. Mr. Palmer was employed as a miner at Conda for a number of years and Butte for two years, prior to employment by San Francisco Company this spring.
He married Martha Sanderson July 8, 1937 at Idaho Falls. Besides his widow he is survived by four children, Mrs. Farrell (Glenna Rose) Price of Montpelier, Amy 16, Beverly, 15, and L G Palmer 9; two sisters, Mrs. Elzo Lewis of Kemmerer and Mrs. Merrill Thompson of Rock Springs; one brother Raoul Palmer of Clayton Washington; and one grandson.
Services were held at 1 pm Wednesday in the Montpelier LDS Third Ward Chapel with Bishop Frank Hirschi conducting. The prayer at the mortuary was offered by LaMont Sanderson. Prelude and postlude music was by Mrs. Philip L Hulme.
The invocation was pronounced by Seth Dunn, followed by a vocal solo “I’ll Walk With God” Fred Adams accompanied by Mrs. Hulme; remarks and obituary Bishop Hirschi; speaker Lynn Nate; vocal solo, “Beyond the Sunset” Lowell Roberts accompanied by Mrs. Clifford Hopkins; speaker Philip L Hulme; vocal duet “Beautiful Land” Max Haddock and Mrs. Reed Lowe accompanied by Mr. Lester Armatage; benediction Sidney E Burgoyne. Interment was in the Montpelier cemetery and the grave was dedicated by Victor Reese.
Pallbearers were Debert Corsi, Elzo Lewis, Merrill Thompson, Gilford Smart,
Journal Sanderson and Farrell Price. The Matthews Mortuary was in charge of
arrangements.
