LAID TO REST
Leona Dunn, the eighteen month old daughter of James T Dunn of
Georgetown, died suddenly early last Saturday morning caused by spinal
meningitis. The little one was only sick a few days and at first it was very
difficult to tell what was the real cause of the sickness.
Everything was done that human hands could do and early Saturday morning she passed away. Little Leona was an exceptionally bright child with a sweet disposition. The parents and relatives have the heartfelt sympathy of all.
The funeral services were held Sunday at 2 o'clock pm at the home of Mrs. Robison. As the town was under quarantine for small pox, only the immediate relatives were in attendance. Bishop Hays, Able Smart and Hyrum Holmes made consoling remarks to the sorrowing one, when the little one was laid carefully away in its final resting place to await the morning of the resurrection, when the spirit will again enter the tabernacle and arise to enjoy the blessings of eternal life.
