Joseph, the seven year old by of ex-Commissioner L P Nielson of
Ovid, was accidentally killed on Wednesday afternoon by the breaking of a hay
derrick which was being deed at the time by his father. The heavy pole struck
him on the side of his head, crushing in the skull and causing instant death.
The funeral occurred last Thursday afternoon.
It is one of the most heart rending accidents that ever occurred in the county and the distracted parents have the sympathy of the entire community in their bereavement.
